Appetizer

Cranberry “Turkey” CheeseballThis appetizer is addicting! Once you have a little bit, it's hard not to keep eating it! I made this Cranberry "Turkey" Cheeseball for the first time a couple Thanksgivings ago as a little appetizer for people to eat and before I knew it, the whole thing was gone. People really seemed to love that it looked like a turkey too, so I truly believe presentation is very important!
Baked Jalapeno PoppersI love how spicy and creamy Jalapeno Poppers are, but I hate how greasy they can be. With my oven baked version, you can get all the delicious of a Jalapeno Popper without all the guilt afterwards. These are just as good (if not better) than the restaurant version, and best part you don't have to be cheating on your diet! Win win!
Chunky GuacamoleWho doesn't love some good guacamole?! I know I love having some while watching TV. My Chunky Guacamole was inspired by California Pizza Kitchen years ago. I loved how chunky the texture was and decided from then on I would make mine the same way! Check it out and let me know how you like my chunky version!
Zucchini FriesI was very skeptical when I first heard about Zucchini Fries, but with this recipe, you will not be disappointed. I make sure that it's packed with flavor with the addition of garlic and onion powder. This is extremely easy to make and so much better for you than regular fries. Are you willing to give Zucchini Fries a try?!
Balsamic Double Tomato BruschettaThe thing that I love about football has nothing to do with the game itself, but how it brings people together over food and drinks! This Balsamic Double Tomato Bruschetta is so easy to make that you can make it while people are arriving and still have it served before the game actually starts. It's simple and absolutely delicious!
Mushroom Arugula Truffle FlatbreadThis Mushroom Arugula Truffle Flatbread recipe makes for such a gourmet looking dish. It can be eaten as an appetizer, lunch, or dinner! I love how fresh the salad is on top and how light you feel after eating it. It comes together so easily! I double the recipe and store the sauteed mushroom and onions so that I can quickly whip this flatbread up for lunch or dinner!
Piaju / Masoor Daal FrittersPiajus are my biggest guilty pleasure food item to eat at iftar! I love them so much that I only allow myself to make them during the month of Ramadan. If I make them anytime else, believe me I would be in trouble! This crispy masoor daal fritter is so delicious with a crispy outer shell and a soft flavorful inside! I dare you to make these piajus and just eat one!
Baked Chicken NuggetsDo you love chicken nuggets? Did you grow up with the traditional ones that are deep fried? Well I sure did, but I was happy to have found a way to eat this nostalgic dish without having to ruin my healthy diet. These baked chicken nuggets are so soft on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside!
Baked Truffle FriesWho doesn't love a big basket of fries, especially TRUFFLE FRIES?! I know I do, and with my better baked version, you don't have to feel as guilty consuming more than your share. I love how crispy on the outside, soft on the inside these fries are! And with all the spices, yummmmmy! Definitely one of my favorite ways to eat potatoes!
